ELPS Masters in Higher Education Leadership Program 2nd year student Daniela Barcenas was awarded the First-Generation CSUN Alumni Scholarship. Daniela completed her B.A. in 2015 as a double major in Chicana/o Studies and Political Science.

ELPS Masters in Higher Education Leadership Program 2nd year student Jewel Bourne was selected as a Sally Casanova Scholar as part of the California Sate University Pre-Doctoral Program. Jewel’s research focuses on the academic experiences of Black female-identifying transfer students.

José Miguel Paez and Alex Ojeda

Second year doctoral students José Miguel Paez and Alex Ojeda will be presenting at the Liberation Based Healing Conference at Saint Louis University October 12-13, 2018. Alex will be co-presenting on the panel “Creative Healing Systems at the Colonial Wound” and José will be co-presenting on the panel “Decolonizing the Academe."
