Language, Speech, and Hearing Center
Mission
It is the mission of the Language, Speech and Hearing Center:
- To provide the clinical observations and supervised clinical experiences required for CDS students in this academic program, and
- To provide support for the educational programs of the Department of Communication Disorders and Sciences in the form of experiential student learning opportunities (Master Clinician Workshops, Boot Camp, etc.),
- To provide speech-language pathology and audiology services to the community at large.
This mission, consistent with the Department’s mission of ensuring student success, has been in effect since the adoption of the statement in 2003.
Vision
The Language, Speech and Hearing Center will position itself as a Center of Excellence in the field of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology, serving as regional experts and a resource for the student, professionals, and the community at large, for all Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology needs.
