Bilingual Teaching Residency Grant Program

CSUN has a partnership with the Multicultural Learning Center (MLC), a TK-8 public charter school to engage candidates in the Multiple Subject Credential program in a paid yearlong residency. Candidates must be bilingual in Spanish and pursuing a bilingual authorization as part of their credential and they will conduct their full year of student teaching at MLC under the mentorship of an experienced bilingual educator. Candidates will receive a stipend of $30,000 for the school year. 2025-2026 Academic Year Deadline to Apply is May 1, 2025

Self-care and the impact of war

Many in our community continue to be deeply and negatively impacted as we recognize the one-year anniversary of the war in Middle East. There also exists much pain and sorrow in relation to the ongoing war in Ukraine. Witnessing war-time violence can trigger anxiety, depression, and traumatic stress. These feelings are being experienced by people everywhere, those directly in the path of the violence, those who currently have families and friends in the Middle East or Ukraine, and those concerned about the effects of war everywhere.
