Recent News in HHD

The Marilyn Magaram Center for Food Science, Nutrition and Dietetics is collaborating with the Institute for Community Health and Wellbeing on an exciting project thanks to an $880,000 grant from the Los Angeles County Department of Public Heath to reduce obesity rates among low-income families.  CSUN faculty and students will work throughout the Canoga Park area, helping to establish about 13 community gardens as well as holding education sessions at local schools and community groups about making healthy lifestyle choices.
