December 9, 2021

The Los Angeles County Department of Public Health has chosen StrengthUnited as the lead agency to establish a violence prevention coalition within the Santa Clarita and San Fernando Valleys. The project will be led by Jessica Romo, MPH, CHES, a graduate of CSUN’s Public Health Program, and will engage a diverse representation of community members through stakeholder collaboration, communication strategies, and engagement services. The coalition will empower residents to develop community-based actions towards ending violence.

Even as we work towards a future free of violence, many families that we serve are still struggling this year. StrengthUnited has seen an increase in families who have lost their income, homes, and much more. But with your help, we can make their holidays a little brighter. StrengthUnited is providing holiday meals to more than 70 families, and some of our neediest families will also have the opportunity to receive holiday gifts to celebrate the season.

You can join us by sponsoring a family. A donation of $150 will provide gifts for a family, and a donation of $50 will sponsor a family’s holiday meal.  It is not too late to support this effort as so many need help this season. Go to http://donate.strengtunited.org to make your donation today!
