2021 Summer Math Camps with Cat Gaspard

Students in 2021 Summer Math Camps
Cathy Gaspard ran and researched 2 math camps this summer. The first camp was 2 weeks in June. It was an elementary and middle school math camp in the Val Verde School District (3rd - 8th grade). The second camp is a 4 week math camp at Northridge Academy High School [NAHS] July 6th - 30th. (this is the 6th year they are running it!) for all incoming ninth graders.

College of Education Receives New Eisner Foundation Grant

We are thrilled to share the good news that the Eisner Foundation board has approved a general operating grant in the amount of $400,000 over two years to CSUN for the Michael D. Eisner College of Education. This is a renewal of the 2-year support we received from the Eisner Foundation which ended in December, 2021. This funding is especially welcomed with the significant increase in student enrollment in our college credential programs as we work to meet the teacher shortage and diversify the teacher and other school-based workforce while dealing with budget cuts with the pandemic. Thank you very much to the Eisner Foundation for their continued support, and thanks to all of our college family who helped with this process. Read more

Congratulation  to Brian Foley and Norm Herr, who have been awarded $1,199,255 by the National Science Foundation (NSF) for the project entitled, “CSUN Noyce: Extending and Enhancing the STEM Teacher Pipeline through a Community of Learners and Virtual Lesson Study.” Co-Principal Investigators on this project are Virginia Oberholzer-Vandergon and Kellie Evans from the College of Math and Science.
