We are proud that the Michael D. Eisner College of Education remains one of the largest Colleges of Education in the CSU system, providing to our surrounding communities hundreds of outstanding new professionals in the fields of education, counseling, administration, and Deaf Studies. The Eisner College engages in transformative education and initiatives that put into practice our commitment to social justice, equity, access, and inclusion, and supporting the social-emotional well-being of university, school, and community members. I am grateful to our talented faculty, staff, alumni, and community partners, all instrumental in ensuring the excellence of our educational programs and community-serving centers. Doctoral Dissertation Showcase

Join us on October 22 for the Doctoral Dissertation Showcase! The purpose of the showcase is to provide research information to the PK-16 professional community as well as broaden doctoral students’ horizons of research and dissertation, support them in starting and finishing their research, disseminate scholarly work, promote research culture, support institutional efforts to advance equity and social justice, and model academic paper presentations.  Read more

Several College of Education staff were recently recognized for their excellence in the 2022 CSUN Staff Service Awards. Congratulations to: Victoria Berrey, Family Focus Resource Center, who was awarded the CSUN Community Engaged Staff Award; and Kelly Riese, Elementary Education, who was recognized for the CSUN Award of Merit. Welcoming Angélica Galván

Angelica Galvan

Angélica Galván is a new addition to the Counseling Program in the Educational Psychology and Counseling Department at CSUN. She completed her doctorate in Counselor Education at The Pennsylvania State University. Angélica has a background in clinical mental health counseling and working with students with disabilities in the college setting. She also has experience in crisis counseling and substance use counseling in English and Spanish. Read more
