The Department of Elementary Education is now accepting applications for our Master of Arts program, option in Curriculum & Instruction for the Spring 2019 semester. This program was created for teachers interested in developing their skills to teach all curricular areas. This option uses the integration of visual and performing arts into the traditional subject matter disciples such as language arts, social studies, science, and mathematics. Through a focus on the various state curriculum frameworks and standards, teachers come to understand the need for all students to be active learners engaged in a rich, meaning-centered curriculum. The program meets once a week in the evening which makes it a great option for full-time teachers.
