Jaclyn Kietzman is the Graduate Student Recruitment Specialist in the Michael D. Eisner College of Education. Jaclyn has served 14 years in higher education. She is from the San Gabriel Valley and is a proud first-generation college graduate. Not only is Jaclyn a homegrown CSUN professional as she received her B.A. in Communication Studies, and M.A. in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies, she claims to be a Matador for life as her high school mascot was also a Matador.
As the recruitment specialist, Jaclyn develops and implements recruitment strategies to increase the pipeline of inquiries and applications to all our credential and graduate academic programs within the College. She works with our faculty to customize recruitment plans for each program. She also creates and edits marketing materials and manages social media for our college. Jaclyn is a team member for the Center for Transformational Educator Preparation Programs (CTEPP) where she has been integral in developing affinity group spaces for our Black and Latinx teacher credential candidates. Jaclyn’s favorite part of her role is when she interfaces with prospective students; whether it’s during an information session, at a graduate fair, or during a one-on-one advisement session, she is fulfilled when she is able to provide clarity and help a student take their next step on their educational journey.
When Jaclyn is not hard at work you can find her spending time with her husband and two young children on a bike ride or trying a new recipe.
