We are proud that the Michael D. Eisner College of Education remains one of the largest Colleges of Education in the CSU system, providing to our surrounding communities hundreds of outstanding new professionals in the fields of education, counseling, administration, and Deaf Studies. The Eisner College engages in transformative education and initiatives that put into practice our commitment to social justice, equity, access, and inclusion, and supporting the social-emotional well-being of university, school, and community members. I am grateful to our talented faculty, staff, alumni, and community partners, all instrumental in ensuring the excellence of our educational programs and community-serving centers. Greetings as we begin a new academic year and a new time to move forward. And what challenging times these are! As we look to the future and wonder how each of us as unique individuals can make a difference, one impactful way to do this is to become a teacher, administrator, school psychologist, school counselor, Marriage Family Therapist, or Educational Therapist. As one of the highest rated Colleges of Education in the state, the Michael D. Eisner College of Education offers professional preparation in all of these areas, as well as an undergraduate degree in one of the top Deaf Studies programs in the country. Read more

Not Alone: Care Advocate Provides Support to CSUN Survivors of Sexual Assault

Since her arrival at California State University, Northridge last year, Paria Zandi has worked to empower survivors of sexual violence, interpersonal abuse and stalking, through a trauma-informed and culturally responsive lens. As CSUN's care advocate, Zandi provides a confidential space for survivors to discuss their experiences, concerns and options. Read more
