Trimaine Davis, a longtime educator in Los Angeles, has been named one of the three honorary captains for upcoming Super Bowl LV this Sunday February 7th, 2021 in Tampa, Florida. Trimaine has been a tireless advocate for Black students with his prior involvement in CSUN’s Black Male Initiative and his current work as a Retention Coordinator with the VIPS Scholars program at UCLA.
Trimaine had this to say about the recognition: "To be apart of such an incredible honor means the world to me. Although I feel I am unworthy of this honor, I accept this honor o the behalf of all of us that continue be there for our students no matter what the circumstances are. I accept this on the behalf of all us in this village, doing all we can to empower and inform the next generation.”
