Faculty and students from the Doctoral Program in Educational Leadership will be presenting at the Hawai'i Student Success Institute March 6th, 2020 at the Hilton Hawai'i Village. This conference focuses on community college's progress toward increasing student success throughout the state of Hawai'i. Doctoral Core faculty members Tracy Buenavista along with Dimpal Jain will be presenting with doctoral students Carmen Dones, Alex Ojeda, and Cindy Phu. The title of their presentation is “Fostering a First-Generation Professional Praxis: Narratives of First-Generation Faculty, Staff, Administrators and Scholars of Color in the Community Colleges. They were invited by University of Hawai’i’s NSF ADVANCE BRIDGE grant to share their knowledge and expertise.
