Welcome to Spring 2024!

We are proud that the Michael D. Eisner College of Education remains one of the largest Colleges of Education in the CSU system, providing to our surrounding communities hundreds of outstanding new professionals in the fields of education, counseling, administration, and Deaf Studies. The Eisner College engages in transformative education and initiatives that put into practice our commitment to social justice, equity, access, and inclusion, and supporting the social-emotional well-being of university, school, and community members. I am grateful to our talented faculty, staff, alumni, and community partners, all instrumental in ensuring the excellence of our educational programs and community-serving centers. For Fall 2019: Opportunities for Math and Science Teacher Residencies with Stipends!

The Accelerated Collaborative Teacher Residency (ACT-R) Program is recruiting a diverse cohort of teacher candidates in special education, secondary mathematics education, and secondary science education. CSUN Eisner College Passes Credentialing Re-Accreditation with Flying Colors

This March, the Michael D. Eisner College of Education hosted a California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC) Accreditation team, which reviewed our 27 credential programs in depth. Following the site visit, we received the summary report with a unanimous recommendation of re-accreditation without any further conditions. This recommendation was approved by the Commission on Accreditation on May 2nd, with our programs being roundly praised.

What Really Works in Education: Universal Design for Learning (UDL)

The Center for Teaching and Learning at CSUN welcomed their fourth biennial “What Really Works in Education” conference on Monday April 8th, 2019. The conference focused on how to improve outcomes for all students in an educational setting using Universal Design for Learning (UDL), and was sponsored in part by the Schools First Federal Credit Union.
