We are proud that the Michael D. Eisner College of Education remains one of the largest Colleges of Education in the CSU system, providing to our surrounding communities hundreds of outstanding new professionals in the fields of education, counseling, administration, and Deaf Studies. The Eisner College engages in transformative education and initiatives that put into practice our commitment to social justice, equity, access, and inclusion, and supporting the social-emotional well-being of university, school, and community members. I am grateful to our talented faculty, staff, alumni, and community partners, all instrumental in ensuring the excellence of our educational programs and community-serving centers. COE Self-Care Activities Spring 2019 - Week 6

This week, please check out a new CSUN website www.CSUN.edu/heart where students and members of the campus community can find information about resources that address emergency and other self-care needs.  The website provides resources that address food, housing, financial and other areas needed for well-being. Also, this week we offer another inspirational half hour including meditation on Wednesday, February 20th, from 1:30-2PM in the CTL conference room with Josh Einhorn. Fall 2019 Deadline for Multicultural and Multilingual Option

The Fall 2019 application deadline for the Master of Arts Degree in Education, Multicultural and Multilingual Option is August 1st, 2019. The Multicultural concentration in Elementary Education places emphasis on developing a comprehensive and balanced approach to teaching culturally diverse students in K-8 settings. This option provides an overview of multicultural education, which includes theories and practices in culturally relevant pedagogy, language acquisition, family and community assets, and multicultural arts education.
