We are thrilled to share the good news that the Eisner Foundation board has approved a general operating grant in the amount of $400,000 over two years to CSUN for the Michael D. Eisner College of Education. This is a renewal of the 2-year support we received from the Eisner Foundation which ended in December, 2021. This funding is especially welcomed with the significant increase in student enrollment in our college credential programs as we work to meet the teacher shortage and diversify the teacher and other school-based workforce while dealing with budget cuts with the pandemic. Thank you very much to the Eisner Foundation for their continued support, and thanks to all of our college family who helped with this process. Read more

Outstanding Pandemic Teaching Award

Do you know a great teacher who has been succeeding despite the pandemic? Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, school closures have forced school staff, students, and their families to adjust to new models of education. Some teachers have not only kept the learning happening but they are rocking the pandemic teaching. To showcase the great teaching across Los Angeles, we created the Outstanding Pandemic Teaching Awards for exemplary teachers during these difficult times. To apply or nominate someone for the OPT Award, go to bit.ly/OPTAward.
