Housing

  • Via Student Housing and Residential Life: We know that some of our students’ families may not have secure permanent housing and the student may think they have to leave. Any student needing to stay in the dorm can submit the request.

Requesting to Remain in Student Housing (If this applies to you, please apply immediately).

If you are a former foster youth or international student you will be allowed to stay. Please fill out the

Remain in Housing Exception Request Form

Email it back to Natalia Figueroa in the Office of Student Housing at natalia.figueroa@csun.edu.

If you still feel that you need to stay due to an extenuating circumstance, please fill out the form and explain, in detail, your extenuating circumstance. Your form will be reviewed and an exception may or may not be granted. You should have a response fairly quickly. Some instances of extenuating circumstances may bring up difficult feelings for you. Please reach out to your Residential Life staff if you need assistance or support.

For those that will remain in CSUN Student Housing, we will be relocating most residents. Due to social distancing requirements, residents remaining will be relocated one person, per unit/bathroom. There will also be no visitation allowed for everyone’s safety. CSUN Student Housing will continue to offer support for students who need to remain here. CSUN Dining will continue to offer support for students who remain who have a meal plan. As a reminder, CSUN Dining (Geronimo’s and Matador Mercado) are open and available for meals and items for purchase to all residents who remain.
