Monday, March 18

Newcomers Meet & Greet (Invite-only for First-Time Conference Participants)

All Conference Newcomers are invited to a Meet & Greet to get to know more about the Conference week and meet fellow first-time participants.

  • Location: Platinum 9-10 Ballroom
  • Time: 5:00 PM to 5:30 PM

Kick-off Happy Hour

We welcome everyone to kick-off the week with a Happy Hour. Only Participants with their 2024 Conference Badge are permitted. Please be aware that Conference check-in closes at 5:30 PM on Monday, March 18. Each participant with a 2024 Conference Badge will be given one (1) drink ticket at the door. Hors D'oeuvres and a cash bar will be available.

Tuesday, March 19 - Welcome Reception

We hope you join us as we come together to welcome this wonderful community back again for another exciting CSUN Conference. Come hungry as there will be plenty of food and beverages!

Wednesday, March 20 - Trivia

Come out for a fun game of trivia and a chance to win great prizes. Join a team or bring your own. Hors D'oeuvres will be served and a cash bar will be available. Trivia game details will be posted soon.

  • Time: 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM

The CSUN Center on Disabilities reserves the right to discontinue or change the details and Official Rules of the event at any time. 

ELIGIBILITY

  • Trivia is open to 2024 CSUN Assistive Technology Conference registered participants with the following credentials: Attendee, Presenter or Exhibitor badges.
  • Booth Staff, Expo Visitors, Employees of the CSUN Center on Disabilities, and Conference contracted Service Providers are not eligible to play or win.
  • Players must be at least 18 to play.
  • NO PURCHASE IS NECESSARY TO PLAY OR TO WIN. 

GAMEPLAY AND RULES

  • There will be two (2) forty-five-minute Trivia games on Wednesday, March 20, starting at approximately 7:30 PM and 8:15 PM.
  • The maximum number of players per team is eight (8), and the team's name must be submitted before each game. All team members must be present during each game.
  • Players do not have to play on the same team for both games.
  • Teams and players cannot join a game after it has begun.
  • Each trivia game will consist of several rounds with point values assigned to questions based on their difficulty. The exact number will be provided at the event.
  • Cheating is prohibited, including looking up answers online (the idea is to have fun).
  • Teams have two (2) minutes to submit their answer. Answers can be submitted in a written or oral format to the host/staff. Answers cannot be changed once they have been submitted.
  • Specific game details, instructions and rules will be provided before the start of each game.

WINNER SELECTION AND PRIZES

  • Team scores will be tallied after each round.
  • The Team with the highest score at the end of the game will be awarded first place.
  • In the event of a tie, there will be a tie-breaking question to determine the first-place team.
  • The first-place team will be awarded a prize. Based on the available prizes, additional prizes may be awarded to the second and third-place teams. Prize details will be announced before each game.
  • Prizes (of equal value) will be awarded to all members of a winning team.
  • Teams are eligible to place or win multiple games.
  • Members of teams awarded prizes must provide their First & Last Name, Phone #, Email, City, and State to receive their prize. The information will be used to activate equipment or services if necessary.

Thursday, March 21 - Karaoke

Get excited for the return of Karaoke! Join fellow attendees for singing, refreshments, and great fun. It will be a night to remember, so don’t miss out! Cash bar available.
