Research Hubs are topical affinity groups that are constituted as a safe space for discussion around research in family health equity, encouraging bridge-building across disciplines and domains of influence. Hubs will include our newly hired cluster faculty, Pilot Project PIs, other CSUN faculty and select community partners and students in exploring thematic issues in family health equity. The Research Hub members will be required to participate in 2-hr weekly writing blocks, secure an off-campus expert mentor, and have their materials reviewed by a writing coach. Research Hubs will be developed based on the research interests of BP faculty members and will be tied to the HERE Center’s future initiatives. Research hubs will meet biweekly for two hours; writing groups meet weekly for two hours. Therefore, the commitment to a research hub is 4 hours every other week (Hub and Writing Group) and 2 hours every other week (Writing Group).
