The Faculty App (www.csun.edu/faculty) is a comprehensive web platform designed and built by CSUN personnel as a landing page for all things faculty.
Scholarship
Scholarship is a web-based database tool that faculty can use to highlight their projects and to seek student and faculty collaborations. Built into the platform is the ability for mentors and trainees to create profiles, which will include information on specific research skills and expertise, interests, and available resources. Faculty can create projects in which they can advertise “job postings” for students and reach out to other collaborators based on expertise and needs. Students can search all opportunities and explore PI data/background before contacting them and post their own skills, interests, and availability as a research assistant. The App allows for open availability of information about laboratories, skills required for entry at various levels, lab responsibilities, mentor philosophies, faculty member skills, equipment, and availability for collaboration and mentoring.
