Personal Background
I am born and raised in the San Fernando Valley, but my parents are from Mexico. I am the second person going to college, I wanted to come to college not only for myself but as well as for all the hard work my parents made so I am able to be where I am.

What are your interests/hobbies outside of school?
Outside of school, I like to hang out with my family and friends, a few of my hobbies is that I like watching soccer and I like to bake desserts.

What makes you unique?
What makes me unique is that I am a hard worker

What difference do you hope to make in the world?
A difference that I make in the world is that I like helping people, by tutoring kids with their homework or just being there for them.

I am a first-generation college student. My parents are from Michoacán, Mexico. I have a younger brother and two dogs.

What are your interests/hobbies outside of school?
I collect vinyl and CDs in my spare time. I enjoy reading and going on long walks with my dogs.

What makes you unique?
I am very driven, determined, and ambitious.

What difference do you hope to make in the world?
I hope to make a difference in my community through volunteer work. I also hope to inspire my brother and younger cousins to pursue a higher education and be productive and involved in the community.

I was born and raised in Nicaragua, I’m a first-generation college student and I have a little brother. In addition, I came to this country to achieve my goals.

What are your interests/hobbies outside of school?
My favorite hobbies are doing my makeup, playing volleyball and hanging out with my family and friends.

What makes you unique?
What makes me unique is that I am a very supportive person, and I like helping people who need it.

What difference do you hope to make in the world?
With my career, I hope to make a difference in the world by lowering the prices of dental services, making them more affordable so that people can have access to oral health that is very expensive when people do not have health insurance.

Personal Background
I was born in Venezuela, I have a little brother and also, I love animals. My parents are my inspiration and they always motivate me to continue my education to have a good future, and I want to be a role model for my little brother.

What are your interests/hobbies outside of school?
My hobbies outside of school are going to the gym, play with my dog, and listen to music while watching the sunset with my family and friends.

What makes you unique?
What makes me unique is that I have a good heart, and I am hard-working person.

What difference do you hope to make in the world?
To make a difference in the world I want to help people that need it. Also, with my career I hope to make an impact in people's oral health.

Personal Background
I was born and raised in California and have always known I would attend college. I have always been interested in helping people, knowledge, and academics. My favorite subject has always been history.

What are your interests/hobbies outside of school?
I like music. Singing is something that I'm not the best at, but I look to improve on during my life. Another aspect is the piano. I am a self-taught amateur when it comes to the piano. But I hope that in time I will improve on this hobby.

What makes you unique?
I believe I am unique because I want to learn and influence the world. I want to have a better understanding of the world around me and that I have the resolve to make difference.

What difference do you hope to make in the world?
I hope to educate people and help them learn more about themselves and their world. I want to help them find their strength within and help them find the same resolve I have. So, then they too can make an impact in the world.

Personal Background
I was born in the Philippines, the province is Nueva Ecija, Cabanatuan City, in the year 2003. My zodiac sign is Leo (fire and a fixed sign). I grew up in the Philippines for 12 years and flew to California in the year 2016 late in November of fall. I live in Canoga Park for about 7 years now.

What are your interests/hobbies outside of school?
My Hobbies are cooking, cleaning, baking, taking pictures of any I see nice, playing videogames, and driving safely while blasting music (add or don't add it's okay) My interests are watching anime or tv shows like criminal minds, learning archery, video games, flowers, and few more.

What makes you unique?
I don't think of myself as a unique person but I think what makes me unique is that I guess I am a caring person, who has a warmth like a lioness and my personality is very unique I think.

What difference do you hope to make in the world?
I hope that I bring warmth to people or in this world, I hope I can offer my help to those who need it like; a shoulder to cry on or a spare ear to listen to them.

I am a musician and songwriter who loves to write and make movies. With creativity being my daily drive, I am always looking for new ways to tell stories.

Get more people especially Latino community to be more involved or present in higher degree studies by helping them in the way to get up there

I was born in Santa Ana, El Salvador. I came to this country 6 years ago and since then my life has been different but amazing. The change was big but I'm happy. I have three younger siblings and two cute cats.

What are your interests/hobbies outside of school?
When I'm not studying I love spending time with family and friends. I love music, art, books, adventures, and everything fun. I love being in charge and taking care of my siblings. Also, I love kids.

What makes you unique?
Responsible, caring, understandable, adventurous, and hard-working.

What difference do you hope to make in the world?
I want to make this world a better place by helping kids be better humans.

Personal Background
I mostly have been in average classes but was guided to better courses which has helped me end up here at B2F. Which I’m thankful for because at home no one was able to tutor/mentor me let alone consult me about the real world and moving up in it.

What are your interests/hobbies outside of school?
I’m interested in the arts. I tamper with Music whenever I get the chance I also write screenplays when I get inspired. I also enjoy watching videos on interesting cases and fun facts/interviews of celebrities I look up to.

What makes you unique?
I’m not closed minded I hear Everyone’s opinions and even take ideas from it. I am very opinionated so I can conversate/debate with people. I give credit where credits due something I feel like people don't do much anymore. I can be logical yet creative which I think is better than having either or.

What difference do you hope to make in the world?
I think it’s important to live your life like you’re creating a legacy cause that inspires you to be an important person. and an important person to me is someone who can benefit their community which then makes a domino effect of branching in to more lives that need help. I want my actions to help people realize we can always be better people and whatever they interpret from that they’ll do.

I was born in a hospital in Van Nuys but I was raised in Canoga Park. I come from an immigrant family that have encouraged me into going to college for as long as I could remember. I am the oldest out of my siblings and am proud to be a first-generation student.

What are your interests/hobbies outside of school?
Outside of school I’m always at work but when I do have time for myself I like work on different types of arts and crafts

What makes you unique?
I think I am an optimistic person that’ll try to see the best in things even when others can’t

What difference do you hope to make in the world?
I hope I could give other people different perspectives in life so they could try to put themselves out there like I did and have opportunities that are life changing.

Personal Background
I’m a first-generation college student who grew up in a Hispanic household as the youngest child and only girl.

What are your interests/hobbies outside of school?
I like to read, write, draw & binge-watch different series or movies related to my favorite genre-horror, thrillers, action, and romance. I also love listening to music whenever I get the chance- my favorite singer is Kali Uchis.

What makes you unique?
I'm hardworking when it comes to achieving goals, even if they're difficult. I still pursue them without being held back.

What difference do you hope to make in the world?
I hope to create a world where everyone supports one another. To not feel alone and where we can lean on each other for support and guidance.

There’re a couple careers I’m interested as of right now, both being in the medical field. I either want to became a Companion Veterinarian or a Registered Nurse.

Personal Background
I am a first-generation Latina woman, who’s interested in a stem major. I come from a low-income family, with two parents who weren’t able to support me in aspects of my life. However, because I didn’t have that support doesn’t mean I allowed it to define me, I used it to grow as a person, and thrive in my education.

What are your interests/hobbies outside of school?
Doing my makeup is a way that helps me take control of my life whenever everything around me is spiraling. It allows me to feel beautiful, express myself, and be in charge when I feel the urge to. I also love giving back to my community, especially through the non-profit organization named Urban Promise Los Angeles.

What makes you unique?
I think the amount of care and support I give my community makes me unique. I don’t think a lot of teenagers are willing to give up their free time to help low income children of our community with holistic support. I however really enjoy it, because it’s empowering to know that I’m making a difference in a child’s life, a difference I wish someone was making in my life, when I was a child.

What difference do you hope to make in the world?
I hope to give back to my community, to make a difference in Canoga Park. I’ve seen and experienced the hardships of poverty, and the lack of support from loved ones. I want to be successful to help others who need it, like how I once needed it and wished someone helped me. Hopefully then I’ll inspire the youth in Canoga Park to do the same and start a cycle of caring community.

The things that make me unique is that I am always open to new things and I love to stay active.

The difference I hope to bring in this world is bringing positivity and love to each other.

My parents came to the US when my mom was pregnant with my sister, and they have lived here since. So, I and my other 2 brothers were born here. I was always one of those kids who said if I don't get into college then I won't go and just get a job. Luckily, I got accepted to CSUN and into B2F, and now I'm in college thanks to my sister for encouraging me to apply to B2F.

What are your interests/hobbies outside of school?
Outside of school, I'm a soccer coach. But when I can I hang out with my friends and go out and catch up with old friends.

The way I look at things is what makes me unique.

What difference do you hope to make in the world?
I hope to bring people together and help develop friendships.
