Angelina Finau honoured as Wolfson Scholar

CSUN | On Point: Banking on Food

CSUN On Point is the California State University, Northridge Journalism Department’s 30-minute news and public affairs show. Advanced level journalism students in the Mike Curb College of Arts, Media and Communication produce the show with the assistance of faculty advisors Sally Turner, executive producer, and Lincoln Harrison, director. CSUN Professor Contributes to OC Museum of Art’s California-Pacific Triennial Exhibit

California State University, Northridge Central American Studies professor Beatriz Cortez dedicated countless hours, energy and sweat to welding a steel porch that will be showcased over the next several months at the Orange County Museum of Art’s (OCMA) “California-Pacific Triennial: Building as Ever.” The exhibition, begins tomorrow and runs through Sept. 3 at the museum at 50 San Clemente Drive, Newport Beach California. -- AmericanTowns.com

CSUN Psychology Professor Luciana Lagana Wins the 2017 CSUN Exceptional Creative Accomplishments Faculty Award for Her Anti-Bias Research Films

CSUN Psychology Professor and NIH-funded researcher Luciana Lagana has been writing, hosting, directing and producing numerous films and series, with the intent to help discriminated minorities. She is currently preparing several feature documentaries that she will use in her randomized controlled trials to test whether watching these films could decrease biases against a variety of minorities. She has incorporated her passion for filmmaking into her academic career through using her films in innovative experiments. -- PR Web
