The dual writers and actors strikes have brought film and TV productions to a halt, and pressed pause on the local economy with them. The latest is that California’s economy has already lost about $3 billion as a result of the strikes, Todd Holmes, a professor of entertainment industry management at California State University-Northridge, told CNBC. -- The Messenger

City Council Committee Hears Reform Recommendations

In the end, it took me five years to complete an associate degree program, but I am proud to say that I will be continuing my studies this fall at California State University, Northridge.
