Hollywood, writers’ strike ends. But California has already lost 3 billion

So a happy ending seems to have arrived in Hollywood after almost 5 months of strike. The writers’ strike resulted losses to the Californian economy of approximately $3 billion (2.8 billion euros), according to a calculation by California State University Northridge. -- Ruetir

Feds award $1 billion to plant trees, combat extreme heat
