Beck assumed the presidency of California State University – Northridge in January 2021. In the role she oversees more than 40,000 students, faculty and staff. Under her leadership the school has spearheaded an equity-centered strategic plan, kicked off the Global Hispanic Serving Institution Equity Innovation Hub and received the Seal of Excelencia from Excelencia in Education for leadership, practice and success in serving Latinx students. Beck has a bachelor’s in psychology from the University of California, San Diego, a master’s from San Diego State University, and a Ph.D. in experimental psychology from the University of California, San Diego. She is a board member of the Los Angeles Chamber of Commerce, the American Association of State Colleges and Universities, the Coalition of Urban Serving Universities and the Executive Committee of the Los Angeles County Economic Development Committee’s Board of Governors. -- Los Angeles Business Journal

Subramaniam is dean of the David Nazarian College of Business and Economics at California State Northridge. He was previously a professor of accounting at the University of Texas at Arlington College of Business. Subramaniam has an undergraduate degree in physics from the University of Malaya, Malaysia, an MBA from the University of Minnesota-Duluth and a Ph.D. in accounting from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities.
