Miss Santa Clara 2022 is Tiffany Austin, 23, a Santa Clara resident who won $1,000. During the talent segment, Austin delivered a passionate monologue from “Grey’s Anatomy.” This articulate senior at California State University, Northridge will graduate this spring with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology. -- Silicon Valley Voice

Cuban composer Aurelio de la Vega dies in Los Angeles

Between 1953 and 1957, the de la Vega gave lectures in the United States and also in Puerto Rico, Mexico and Venezuela. According to the newspaper, after he settled in Los Angeles, he worked as a composition professor at San Fernando Valley State College (today California State University, Northridge). -- Mundo Hispanico
