The awarding of the CSU HSI Community Grants is the first of three initiatives that will launch as part of EIH. The Global HSI Equity Innovation Hub is based out of CSU Northridge (CSUN), and is a public-private partnership with Apple, which provided a $25 million investment as part of Apple’s Racial Equity and Justice Initiative (REJI). -- Noozhawk

‘COVID Saved The Station,’ Says KCSN L.A’s Nic Harcourt.

Before COVID-19 hit the North American shores, KCSN was up for sale. “We were all told to look for other jobs,” morning host Nic Harcourt told the magazine. “It seemed like the station was just sort of treading water for so long.” The sale never happened and KCSN is still owned by California State University-Northridge. -- Inside Radio

Bilingual program for deaf students hailed as a model for California schools

“It’s important, it’s landmark, it’s critical, because until now, too many deaf students have been denied language equity and education,” said Rachel Friedman Narr, professor of deaf education at Cal State Northridge. “This is going to be revolutionary for deaf students. … The hope is that this will be a model for districts across the state.” -- Lake County Record-Bee
