LBSU Places Eighth After Opening Round At Big West Championship

April 23, 2017 RIVERSIDE, Calif. - The Long Beach State women's golf team completed day one of the Big West Conference Championship in eighth place at Oak Quarry Golf Club. LBSU posted an opening round score of 23-over-par 311, finishing six shots behind seventh place CSUN (+17) and eight strokes behind Hawai'i (+15) in sixth. Cal Poly leads the field of eight teams at 1-over 289 as the Mustangs lead tournament host UC Riverside (+8) by seven shots and eight strokes over UC Davis (+9) in third. Cal State Fullerton and UC Irvine are tied for fourth at 14-over. Junior Jennifer Yu and redshirt freshman Euna Pak led the way for the 49ers, carding a 3-over 75 to tie for 16th. OSU track: Beavers going to California

OSU will take its sprinters, hurdlers, jumpers and throwers to the meet.
