CSUN Men’s Volleyball Achieves Victory and Player Milestones With Impressive Performances

The 16th-ranked CSUN men's volleyball team secured their eighth win of the season and second victory in their ongoing seven-match homestand by sweeping a non-conference match against Hope International. Junior Lorenzo Bertozzi notably achieved a career-high of 14 kills, hitting .462 on 26 swings, while senior Kyle Hobus made eight kills with just one error, hitting .700. Senior Griffin Walters contributed seven kills, three digs, and two blocks in the Matadors' 25-19, 25-18, 25-18 victory. The team hit an impressive .453 (41-7-75) collectively, with setter Donovan Constable providing 32 assists. Additionally, the Matadors secured a 5-0 advantage in team blocks and posted six aces, two of which were from senior Jano Tello. Senior libero Taylan Cook led with four digs, although CSUN was out-dug by the visitors 22-14. -- BVM Sports

Angels players feel ‘really good vibes’ as spring training begins

The Angels have hired Bob Alejo as the strength and conditioning coach. Alejo spent 12 years in a similar role with the Oakland A’s, during Washington’s tenure in Oakland. Since then, he had been working with Olympic athletes and in college sports, including at Cal State Northridge and UC Santa Barbara. CSUN Women’s Basketball Falls 68-75 to Cal Poly in Hard-Fought Match

CSUN Women's Basketball fell to Cal Poly 75-68 on Thursday night at Mott Athletics Center. Three players reached double digits in points: Kayanna Spriggs with 14, Kaitlyn Elsholz with 13, and Erica Adams with 11. The Matadors had a higher 3-point field goal percentage, more 3-point field goals made, and more blocks, but still ended up with a loss. -- BVM Sports
