Ventura College Santa Paula, President Greg Gillespie leads open forum on future plans for the Santa Clara River Valley

Maria de la luz Flores, Counselor, brings more than 20 years of experience in higher education to Ventura College Santa Paula having worked with students from diverse backgrounds in the California Community College and California State University systems. Flores is the youngest of three children and the first to receive a college degree. She received a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature and a Master of Science in Counseling from California State University, Northridge. She is also an alumna of Ventura College. Flores discovered her calling to serve low-income first-generation students while working at the CSUN-Ventura campus.
