Game Group Lead

Character Implementation

Hello, I am Tristen. I am an aspiring local college student from the San Fernando Valley. I started with my educational career at Los Angeles Pierce College, and transferred to California State University, Northridge in getting a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science.

I support my college education by working part time in a digital marketing company as an IT Support Specialist. Like Computer Science, my work has many open ended problems, and it seems almost like a puzzle on trying to come up with the best solution.

I also enjoy spending time making personal small coding projects, creating websites, and video editing just for fun. Other non computer related activities that I love spending time on is hiking, working on my car, and lifting weights.

Hello, I am Keith and I am currently working on my Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science at California State University of Northridge. My journey in Computer Science started at Santa Monica College, and transferred over to CSUN hoping to establish a career in software engineering.

My real world experience started at a small digital marketing company, and I'm always looking for ways to broaden my involvement in other ways. I also work on small coding projects including games and discord bots. Gaming has always been a fun hobby for me, and I appreciate that I can combine my computer science knowledge with it.

Austin Lucky

Music Engine Developer

Music Sequencer and Other Musical Elements

Hello, my name is Austin Lucky. I am currently a few weeks away from completing and recieving a Bachelors of Science Degree in Computer Science from California State University Northridge.

During my time at the university, I have not needed to obtain any type of job. Instead, I really focused on leadership and interactions between both academic and nonacademic student organizations. This allowed me to not only further my education in certain topics like artificial intelligence, but allowed me to pursue hobbies that I did not to be terminated after leaving high school.

After graduating, I have no dream job I wish to pursue within the computer science field. Instead, I want to try as many things as I can till I find something I truely love to do. Later down the road I would like to pursue creating a business.

Roberto Loya

Music Group Developer

Finite State Machines Lead, Engines Integration

Hello, I am Roberto Loya. I am working on completing my bachelor’s under the major of computer science. I was undecided for the first 2 years of my time at CSUN until I was accepted into the Computer Science. I have always wanted to pursue a career in computers, so I was happy to join.

I have had little real-world experience in this field. I have applied certain skills I have learned into my everyday retail job. Whenever an IT job is required at work, my boss always looks to me for help. Just last fall I was tasked with doing a server swap for the store’s inventory system, that went smoothly. I am looking forward to applying these skills in the real world and would be grateful for any opportunity to do so.

Development Stories

  • "One of the greatest parts of making a video game for the first time is how the enemies start to move around on their own. It's really something else until they walk out of the map because you forgot to add collision."
  • "Even small scale video games like this need to be balanced, I cannot imagine all the variables you would need to modify for an MMO or a MOBA type game."
