Any list of internet sites relating to Tolkien must come
attached with a word of warning. A great deal of material
relating to the Lord of the Rings films can be found
on the internet, along with innumerable sites by and for
Tolkien fans. Much of this material is of little value to
the scholarly study of Tolkien's writing. This is
not to say that nothing of value can be found on the internet,
but you might find yourself wading through quite a lot of
web pages and wasting a tremendous amount of time in the
searching. In most cases it won't be worth the effort. The
list below therefore gives a limited number of links to
sites that I know provide some useful material. |
