Pole 24 is named after numbering on the utility poles on the road out to Jericho Bay and is just below the 24th pole. The site faces to the northwest and the surface is mostly gently sloping granite ledges. Below and in between the edges are extensive mud flats, in which soft-shelled clams (Mya) are common and often harvested.
