- Nov. 16, 2024: Led by Joseph Sunbaty and Dr. Bishay, Smart Prosthetics senior design project participates in a STEM Day for middle school youth at St. Mary & St. Athansius Coptic Orthodox Church, Northridge, CA.






- Nov. 8, 2024: Dr. Bishay's graduate students Gerbert Funes Alfaro and Ian Sherrill present their research at the LSAMP annual research Symposium at CSUN.



- Sept. 20, 2024: Community College Students from Los Angeles Valley College (LAVC) visit Dr. Bishay's Lab to learn about the "Smart Prosthetics" research-based project.

- Sept. 12, 2024: Dr. Bishay's oral presentaiton at the first International Online Conference on Biomimetics (IOCB) recieves one of two best oral presentation awards.

- August 29, 2024: For the second year in a row, Dr. Bishay's research is featured in the President's Annual Welcome Address and CSUN's "Year In Review" video.


- August 21, 2024: Dr. Bishay recieves an early promotion to the rank of Full Professor!


- August 15, 2024: Dr. Li Liu receives a new NSF grant, entitled "HSI Implementation and Evaluation Project: Broadening STEM Participation Through Authentic Learning Experience" (Div. of Equity for Excellence in STEM). This is a three-year grant with an award amount of $799,997. Dr. Bishay serves as a senior personnel, co-supervising a Computer Science senior design project on developing a prosthetic arm training system in Virtual Reality (VR), continuing on last year's project that initiated this interdisciplinary research between CSUN's Mechanical Engineering and Computer Science departments.


- July 30 - August 1, 2024: Dr. Bishay attends the Autodesk Design and Make Educator Summit at Intercontinental Chicago Magnificent Mile hotel that featured ~200 educators from all over the nation. Dr. Bishay was a speaker on a panel entitled "From Campus to Career Impact".



- June 28, 2024: Dr. Bishay and Drs. Schaal and Booth secure a new Campus Quality Fee (CQF) grant (~$9,640) to support the Multi-Scale Mechanical Characterization Laboratory (MMCL) with a lab assistant in the 2024-25 academic year.

- May 28, 2024: Dr. Bishay undergraduate researchers, Ian Sherrill and Gerbert Funes Alfaro, receive LSAMP Summer Research awards, to work on research topics leading to their master theses. Ian's project is entitled "Development of a Methodology for Introducing 3D-Printing Pattern Settings in Generative Design". Gerbert's prject is entitled "Development of a Controller for a Full Arm Prosthesis".


- May 21-22, 2024: Dr. Bishay presents his research with with Dr. Maya Pishvar and graduate student, Daniel Sanchez, at the 2024 SAMPE conference, Long Beach Convention Center. The presentation was entitled "Innovations in Composite Laminates: Experimental Exploration of SMA Wire Integration". The paper will appear in the conference proceedings.


- May 17, 2024: Dr. Bishay's graduate student, Erik Serrano, recieves the Mechanical Engineering Outstanding Graduate Student Award at the 2024 Collegege of Engineering and Computer Science Pre-Commencement Ceremony.


- May 15, 2024: Dr. Bishay presents his research with Smart Morphing Wing at the first international online conference on biomimetics (IOCB). The presentation was entitled "CGull: A Non-Flapping Seagull-Inspired Composite Morphing Drone"


- May 10, 2024: Dr. Bishay receives the prestigious 2024 CSUN's Distinguished Teaching, Counseling or Librarianship Award, at the Honored Faculty reception!


- May 9, 2024: Smart Morphing Wing's bio-inspired non-flapping drone, called "CGull," passes a successsful flight test in the skies of Apollo XI airfield! A drone with no traditional ailerons, elevators, or rudder! Yes, the black "bird" that you see in the picture below is this drone, not a real bird!


- May 3, 2024: The Computer Science branch of Smart Prosthetics project, called "Infinity VR" project (co-supervised with Dr. Li Liu), wins the CS project display award!.


- May 3, 2024: Smart Morphing Wing and Smart Prosthetics teams present their research at the 2024 CSUN's senior design project showcase. Smart Morphing Wing wins the ME project display award!




- April 29, 2024: Supported by CSUN’s University Patent and Copyright Committee, a utility patent application entitled "FOOT CONTROLLER SYSTEMS FOR PROSTHETIC ARMS, THEIR METHODS OF PRODUCTION AND USE" is submitted. The named inventors are Dr. Bishay and his former student, Jack Wilgus.

- April 27, 2024: Dr. Bishay's undergraduate research, Gerbert Funes Alfaro, represents CSUN as the only undergraduate researcher at the annual CSU statewide research competition, held at CSU San Luis Obispo. His presentation, entitled Infinity Foot Controller: A new means of below-the-elbow prosthesis control wins first place (Certifiacte and $500).

- April 26, 2024: Dr. Bishay's undergraduate research, Ian Sherrill, presents his research at the SoCalGas STEM-NET Virtual ResearchCafé!. The presentation is entitled Multi-Scale Design Optimization of 3D-Printed Structures via Generative Design and Experimentally-Optimized Print Settings.


- April 26, 2024: Dr. Bishay recieves a mini-grant award ($6,500) from the 2024-2025 Research, Scholarship, and Creative Activity (RSCA) program, for a research project, entitled Design, manufacturing, and testing of a bio-inspired bird-like composite morphing wing. The mini-grant will support one graduate and one graduate researchers during the 2024-25 academic year.


- April 24, 2024: Dr. Bishay is awarded the honorable 2024 CSUN Distinguished Teaching, Counseling or Librarianship Award! "His work, as exemplified in senior design projects, including CSUN’S Smart Prosthetics and Smart Morphing Wing, which prepares students for engineering careers, is truly outstanding!"


- April 19, 2024: Dr. Bishay presents his research at the Cool Research Opportunities & Pizza Series (CROPS). The presentation is entitled Integrating 3D-Printing Constraints in Generative Design of Structural Components.


- April 12, 2024: Dr. Bishay's graduate student, Erik Serrano, successfully defends his Master thesis, entitled On the effect of excitation frequency and amplitude on the damage of aluminum cantilever beams.


- April 10, 2024: Dr. Bishay publishes a new paper in Journal of Engineering Research (JER) with some of his students from the 6th cohort of Smart Morphing Wing senior design project, entitled " SCAMORSA-1: A camber-morphing wind turbine blade with sliding composite skin".


- April 5, 2024: Dr. Bishay's current graduate student, Estefany Ortega, presents a 10-min oral presentation at CSUN's 28th annual research and creative works symposium (CSUNposium). Her presentation was entitled "Computational and experimental analyses of a bio-inspired composite bird-like morphing wing" (Preliminary stage).


- April 5, 2024: Dr. Bishay's current graduate student, Utsav Swami, presents a 10-min oral presentation at CSUN's 28th annual research and creative works symposium (CSUNposium). His presentation, entitled "Experimental and Computational Frequency Analyses of Metallic and Composite Periodic Beams", wins first place (Award certificates and $300) in Session 1 (Gradute, Completed Stage) of the symposium, that included 8 presentations from CSUN's CECS college.

SMW's 10-minute oral presentation, presented by Moises Brambila, Alex Rini, and Jordan Eghdamzamiri, entitled "CGull: A bio-inspired non-flapping bird-like morphing drone", wins first place (Award certificates and $300) in Session 8 (Undergradute, Completed Stage) of the symposium, that included 6 presentations from CSUN's CECS college.


- April 5, 2024: Smart Prosthetics Senior Design Project presents 10-min and 3-min oral presentations and a poster at CSUN's 28th annual research and creative works symposium (CSUNposium). SP's 3-minute oral presentation, presented by Camron Carter, and entitled "Biomimicry: Recreating the complexity of the human hand", wins first place (Award certificates and $300) in Session 6 (Undergradute, Completed Stage) of the symposium, that included 6 presentations from CSUN's CECS and CSM colleges. Also, the team's poster, entitled 'Persistence' and 'Precision' prosthetic hand designs with a haptic feedback system and an advanced foot controller (Prepared by Vincent Rebultan, Adrian Lima, Camron Carter and Isaiah Reoyo) wins first place (Award certificates and $300) in Group 24 (Undergradute, Completed Stage) that included 7 posters from CSUN's CECS, AMC, HHD, and CH colleges.


- Mar. 23-24, 2024: Smart Morphing Wing places First at the 2024 AIAA regional student research conference and competition, hosted by Santa Clara University. The competition included 13 teams from different universities such as University of Southern California (USC), and San Jose State University (SJSU). The team will get $500 cash prize along with first place certificates. The AIAA will fully support a team representative to present our research at the AIAA SciTech Forum and Exposition, in Orlando, FL, January 2025, which is “the largest event for aerospace research, development, and technology in the world”. The team's paper will also be published in the Proceedings of this event, and we will compete at the international level. The paper is entitled "Design of a non-flapping seagull-inspired composite morphing drone".


- Mar. 13, 2024: Smart Prosthetics present their new designs at the Los Angeles Valley College's Pi Day.


- Mar. 1, 2024: Dr. Bishay presents hiseducational project at the CSU Symposium on Teaching and Learning, organized by CSU San Bernardino, along with his amazing collaborators from CSUN's Biology department, Dr. Mariano Loza-Coll and Professor Allea Cauilan. The presentation, entitled "Teaching to Learn: Do as I do, not as I say", presents a new educational intervention intended to enhance the study skills of STEM students.


- Feb. 12, 2024: Dr. Bishay joins the editorial team of Journal of Vibration and Control (JVC) by SAGE Publications, Inc. as an Associate Editor.
Journal Description: The Journal of Vibration and Control is a peer-reviewed journal of analytical, computational and experimental studies of vibration phenomena and their control. The scope encompasses all linear and nonlinear vibration phenomena and covers topics such as: vibration and control of structures and machinery, signal analysis, aeroelasticity, neural networks, structural control and acoustics, noise and noise control, waves in solids and fluids and shock waves. The Journal of Vibration and Control is published in association with the Society of Experimental Mechanics (SEM).
Impact Factor: 2.8.


- Jan. 30, 2024: Dr. Bishay's recently published paper is featured on the front page of Prosthesis journal.


- Jan. 19, 2024: Dr. Bishay joins President Beck, Dean Toutanji, Autodesk CEO Andrew Anagnost, and Assemblywoman Luz Rivas to visit the construction of the new Autodesk Technology Engagement Center (ATEC) building at CSUN.


- Jan. 11-13, 2024: Dr. Bishay and 10 members from Smart Prosthetics attend the 36th Annual CSU Biotechnology Conference (Santa Clara, CA). Their poster entitled "Foot Controller and Haptic Feedback Systems for Below-the-Elbow Prosthetic Arms" won the "Crowd Favorite Poster Award" (Only 4 posters received this award out of 242 posters presented from Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Engineering).


2023

- Dec. 2, 2023: Gerbert Funes Alfaro, Anthony Bonilla, and Matthew Hoffman represent CSUN's Smart Prosthetics at the LAUSD STEM and Robotics workshop series to inspire K-12 students to become future scientists and engineers. The outreach activity happened at Chatsworth High School.


- Nov. 28, 2023: Ian Sherrill, Dr. Bishay's undergraduate researcher and member of Smart Prosthetics, recieves the SoCalGas STEM-NET Student Research Fellowship award ($ 2,500) for Spring 2024. His project is entitled "Bio-inspired Multiscale Design Optimization of 3D-Printed Structures via Generative Design and Experimentally-Optimized Print Settings". Congratualtions Ian!


- Nov. 20, 2023: Dr. Bishay and sixteen members from the fifth, sixth, and seventh cohorts of Smart Prosthetics senior design project publish a new paper in Prosthesis journal, entitled: Controlling a Below-the-Elbow Prosthetic Arm Using the Infinity Foot Controller.


- Nov. 17, 2023: Dr. Bishay's new graduate student, Estefany Ortega, receives a $700 fund from CSUN's "Thesis/Project/Dissertation Support Program" to support her thesis research.

- Aug. 25, 2023: The CSUN 2023 President's Fall Welcome Address features the research being done in the Smart Prosthetics senior design project.


- Aug. 2-3, 2023: Dr. Bishay attends the "Autodesk Fusion Academy - Summer Summit" in Denver Colorado.


- June 21-23, 2023: Dr. Bishay attends the Faculty Learning Community (FLC) June Institute in CSU San Bernardino Palm Desert Campus, with 35 STEM faculty from all CSU campuses, as part of the ISSUES-X grant, supported by the National Science Foundation (NSF). Dr. Bishay is teaming up with two other faculty from CSUN's Biology Department, Dr. Mariano Loza-Coll and Prof. Allea Cauilan, in an interdisciplinary educational project, called "Learning to Learn".

- May 22-24, 2023: Mr. Brent Knight, a Structural Dynamics expert from NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC), makes his second visit to CSUN as part of the ongoing Mass Mitigation Project with CSUN Mechanical Engineering faculty (PIs: N. Schaal, P. Bishay, C. Schaal, and J. Booth).


- May 17, 2023: Dr. Bishay successfully completes the CMMI Game Changer Academies (CGCA) program. This program was founded by the U.S. National Science Foundation's Division of Civil, Mechanical and Manufacturing Innovation (NSF-CMMI). The program aims to improve group dynamics during panel discussions, increase awareness of bias and identity, and enhance understanding of high-risk, high-reward ideas. The 2022-23 cohort included researchers from academia, industry, and national laboratories at all career stages. Dr. Bishay is now a CGCA panel fellow.


- May 12, 2023: Smart Morphing Wing SDP team wins the Project Display Competition at CSUN's 2023 Senior Design Project Showcase (SDPS). The team also presented their research and design to industry professionals in a 15-min oral presentation.

- March 31, 2023: CrossComm marketing team visits CSUN to give an interview with the PIs of the NSF-M3X grant CSUN received (Jacob Hinkel-Lipsker, Stefanie Drew, Peter Bishay, and Thomas Chan) and take videos of the work being done through the CrossComm-CSUN collaboration.


- March 25-26, 2023: Smart Morphing Wing SDP team presents its research and design at the AIAA regional student conference and competition hosted by UC Davis, and receives an honorable mention from the conference committee. The team's 11-page technical paper is entitled "MataGull: A lightweight bio-inspired non-flapping bird-like morphing drone".


- March 20, 2023: Dr. Bishay's new graduate student, Erik Serrano, receives a $800 fund from CSUN's "Thesis/Project/Dissertation Support Program" to support his thesis research.

- December 12-14, 2022: Mr. Brent Knight, a Structural Dynamics expert from NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC), visits CSUN as part of the ongoing Mass Mitigation Project with CSUN Mechanical Engineering faculty (PIs: N. Schaal, P. Bishay, C. Schaal, and J. Booth).


- December 6, 2022: Dr. Bishay's graduate student, Andrew Heness, is recognized as one of the CSU-LSAMP PROUD scholars (Program for Recognition of Undergraduate Distinction).

- December 6, 2022: Dr. Bishay and his former graduate student, James Martinez, publish a new paper in Heliyon journal, entitled: Reliability analysis of smart laminated composite plates under static loads using artificial neural networks.


- November 4, 2022: Two of Dr. Bishay's graduate students receive funds from CSUN's "Thesis/Project/Dissertation Support Program": Annamaria Viazzo ($1,200), and Utsav Swami ($1,000).


- September 6, 2022: Dr. Bishay's multidisciplinary collaboration with Drs. Jacob Hinkel-Lipsker (Kinesiology, PI), Stefanie Drew (Psychology, CoPI), and Thomas Chan (Psychology, CoPI) led to a new NSF grant award from the Mind, Machine and Motor Nexus (M3X) program, which is under NSF’s Civil, Mechanical and Manufacturing Innovation (CMMI) division. This is a ~$800K three-year grant (2022-2025). The proposal is entitled "RUI: Improving motor learning and rehabilitation via experimental bidirectional dynamic human-virtual reality interaction systems". - September 1, 2022: Dr. Bishay's collaboration with Drs. Natalie Schaal (PI), Christoph Schaal (CoPI) and Jamie Booth led to a new grant award from NASA Marshall Space Flight Center (NASA-MSFC). This is a ~$140K one-year grant (2022-2023). The proposal is entitled "Mass-mitigation through experimental characterization of frequency-dependent strength of metallic structures".


- September 2, 2022: Dr. Bishay gives an invited talk at the Mechanical Engineering seminar series, University of Nevada Las Vegas (UNLV). Title of the presentation: "Connecting research, teaching and capstone design projects through the mechanics and applications of shape memory alloy wire actuators".


- July 18, 2022: Dr. Bishay and the fifth cohort of Smart Morphing Wing senior design project publish a new paper in Aerospace journal, entitled: Design and Analysis of MataMorph-3: A Fully Morphing UAV with Camber-Morphing Wings and Tail Stabilizers.

- Feb. 26, 2022: Dr. Bishay receives the 2022 "Distinguished Engineering Educator Achievement Award" from The Engineer's Council at the 67th Annual National Engineers Week Honors & Awards Banquet for his excellent contributions to introducing innovative educational approaches, exceptional mentorship of undergraduate and graduate students, and outstanding research in the solid mechanics field.

- Nov. 19, 2021: Andrew Heness presents his summer research with Dr. Bishay at CSUN's 2021 CSU-LSAMP Student Research Symposium. His presentation and poster were entitled "Development of a multi-morphing seamless composite wing skin." The CSU-LSAMP program is supported by the National Science Foundation (NSF) and California State University (CSU) institutions.


- Oct. 29, 2021: Dr. Bishay presents one of his new teaching approaches at CSUN's 2021 Engagement Conference. His presentation was entitled "Enhancing engineering students’ understanding using “The geek’s live scripts” ."


- Sept. 14-15, 2021: Dr. Bishay presents his work with the second cohort of Smart Prosthetics at the 2021 ASME Conference on Smart Materials, Adaptive Structures and Intelligent Systems (SMASIS). - May 28, 2021: - Dr. Bishay earns his tenureship at CSUN. With an early promotion in 2020, he becomes a tenured Associate Professor effective August 25, 2021.

- May 27, 2021: - Dr. Bishay and his new graduate student, Andrew Heness, receive a California State University Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation (CSU-LSAMP) summer award, supported by National Science Foundation (NSF). Their project is entitled "Development of a multi-morphing composite wing skin". Andrew will be one of five CSU-LSAMP summer research fellows, and Dr. Bishay will be a CSU-LSMAP summer research advisor. Andrew will start his graduate studies in fall 2021.

- May 26, 2021: Dr. Bishay is recognized at CSUN's End of the Year Pinning Celebration for earning credential in effective college instruction from the Association of College and University Educators (ACUE). Dr. Bishay becomes an ACUE-credentialed instructor.


- May 20, 2021: Dr. Bishay's graduate student, James Martinez, is recognized at the College of Engineering & Computer Science (CECS) virtual commencement ceremony for winning one of two CECS Distinguished Thesis awards. Congratulations James!

- May 18, 2021: Dr. Bishay's graduate student, James Martinez, receives one of four 2021 CSUN's Distinguished Thesis awards. Congratulations James!


- May 17, 2021: The DOD equipment proposal by Dr. Schaal, Dr. Bishay and Dr. Booth got awarded a $549,259 to establish the Multi-Scale Mechanical Characterization Laboratory (MMCL) at CSUN. The new lab will include two Universal Testing Machines (UTMs), a laser Doppler vibrometer (LDV), a scanning electron microscope (SEM) and an optical microscope (OM). MMCL will greatly extend current research capabilities and allow for new cutting-edge and interdisciplinary research avenues. MMCL will allow for greater utilization of existing laboratories (e.g. Keck Composites Laboratory and Haas Manufacturing Laboratory), which feature state-of-the-art equipment. All research projects will involve students at the graduate and undergraduate levels, and will focus on characterization of materials for the development of new capabilities in mission critical structures. MMCL will also enable introducing a series of new high-impact, experiential instructional activities that incorporate the requested equipment into the Mechanical Engineering curriculum.

- May 11, 2020: Smart Morphing Wing Senior Design Project team wins the first place (award certificates and $500) at the AIAA regional student research competition. The competition included 13 teams from University of Southern California (USC), Arizona State University (ASU), University of Washington (UW), Portland State University (PSU), Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and University of Alaska, Fairbanks. After CSUN, a team from UW got 2nd place and a team from USC got third place. AIAA Announces 2020 Regional Student Conference Winners. The team's 11-page technical paper is entitled "A new experimental UAV with twist-morphing wings and camber-morphing tail stabilizers. A team representative will present the paper at the AIAA 2021 SciTech Forum in Nashville, TN, 11-15 January 2021, and the paper will also be published as part of the SciTech proceedings.

Ardalan got a paid research internship for Summer 2017 at TANMS research center, UCLA (8 weeks), and will start his PhD studies at the Mechanical Engineering Department, UC, Davis in Fall 2017 and work there as a teaching assistant. - April 7, 2017: Muzaffaruddin Syed (Dr. Bishay's current graduate student) present his research work at CSUN's 21st annual research and creative works symposium (CSUNposium).
- April 7, 2017: Five teams from Dr. Bishay's Smart Morphing Wing Senior Design Project present their research and designs at CSUN's 21st annual research and creative works symposium (CSUNposium). The "Morphing Winglets" team presentation, entitled "Integrated Morphing Winglet Design with Shape Memory Alloy Driven Actuation", wins the first place (Award certificates and $200) in the College of Engineering and Computer Science session of the symposium, whereas the "Twist Morphing" team presentation, entitled "Development of a twist morphing wing design using an SMA based smart soft composite", wins the second place (Award certificates and $100).


- March 17-19, 2017: Five teams from Dr. Bishay's Smart Morphing Wing Senior Design Project present their research and designs at the AIAA regional student conference at San Jose State University (SJSU). The "Span Morphing" team's paper entitled “Design and Manufacturing of a New Span Morphing Wing” wins the 3rd place (Award certificates and $125) in the competition after USC and University of Arizona.


- February 25, 2017: Dr. Bishay receives the "Outstanding Engineering Achievement Merit Award" from The Engineer's Council at the 62nd Annual National Engineers Week Honors & Awards Banquet for his outstanding contribution to the fields of computational mechanics and composite materials, as well as performance in instructional activities including leadership in Mechanical Engineering senior design projects.


- January 30, 2017: MathWorks publishes a new article about Dr. Bishay's "teaching with Matlab" approach, entitled: Practical Course Projects to Introduce Undergraduate Engineering Students to Interface Design and Academic Research.
- January 11, 2017: Dr. Bishay publishes a new paper in Acta Mechanica, entitled: On the characterization of porosity-related parameters in micro-dilatation theory.

- November 12, 2016: Muzaffaruddin Syed (Dr. Bishay's current graduate student) presents his current research work in a poster at the 2016 California Renewable Energy and Storage Technology (CREST) conference at California State University, Northridge (CSUN).
- November 10, 2016: Dr. Bishay publishes a new paper in Journal of Engineering Mechanics, ASCE, entitled: Analysis of Elastic Media with Voids Using a Mixed-Collocation Finite-Element Method.


- August 29, 2016: Dr. Bishay publishes a new engineering education conference paper in the ASEE's 123rd Annual Conference & Exposition, New Orleans, LA, June 26-29, 2016, titled: Using Career Pathways to assimilate high school students into the Engineering profession.


- August 12, 2016: Ardalan Sofi (Dr. Bishay's current graduate student) receives a scholarship from Edison International ($5,000 applied to tuition and fees). Ardalan will be Edison Scholar for California State University graduate students in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM).
- June 23, 2016: Dr. Bishay's CQF proposal to support the Mechanical Engineering CAD lab with COMSOL Multiphysics software has been approved ($37,980)
- June, 14 2016: Dr. Bishay publishes a new paper in the International Journal of Solids and Structures (IJSS), entitled: Static and Dynamic Behavior of Porous Elastic Materials Based on Micro-Dilatation Theory: A Numerical Study Using the MLPG Method.


- June 7, 2016: Ardalan Sofi (Dr. Bishay's current graduate student) receives "Sally Casanova Scholarship Award" (California Pre-Doctoral Program) for the 2016-17 academic year ($3000 to support Pre-Doctoral Program activities). Ardalan will be "Sally Casanova Pre-Doctoral Scholar" as one of 73 highly qualified CSU students who were chosen from a total of 235 applicants.
- May 24, 2016: First meeting for the new 2016-17 "Smart Morphing Wing" senior design project team.

- April 12, 2016: Dr. Bishay gives a talk at CSUN's Brown Bag research seminar series, entitled: “FEApps”: A course project that combines coding and App designing with engineering fundamentals.

2015

- November 5, 2015: Dr. Bishay receives the Probationary Faculty Support Program award: three units of reassigned time (reduced teaching load) in order to work on research during Spring 2016 semester.
- August 24, 2015: Dr. Bishay starts leading a new senior design project at the ME department focused on Space Exploration.
- August 19, 2015: Dr. Bishay officially joins the Mechanical Engineering Department at CSUN.
