Length: 2 pages + creation of you own "text" + class presentation

Written Task: Using Rodriguez's and Kruger's photography as a starting place,

• Write an essay that begins with your response to the photographs themselves and ends with a larger statement about how you respond to the issues they invoke.

Your essay should be organized and should include an introduction, thesis and conclusion. Feel free to use information and quotes from the readings assigned to help bolster your point. If you do use outside support, please provide a works cited page using the MLA format (see Keys). The essay should be double-spaced, 12 pt. Times New Roman font, one inch margins all the way around with your name in header on all pages with page numbers.

Creative Task: After writing your essay,

• Create your own "text" that focuses on an issue in which you feel as equally strong as Rodriguez and Kruger. This text can be made up of words, pictures or music.

You will be presenting your "text" in class on April 26.
