ValleyGO! HandCycle for Clinic for Veterans
ValleyGO! is a new CSUN program funded by a grant from the U.S. Department of Veteran’s Affairs. ValleyGO! is inspired by a partnership between the CSUN Center for Achievement, the Institute for Community Health and Wellbeing, and the Triumph Foundation. The program is lead by CSUN Kinesiology Professor Teri Todd, and provides handcycling training and clinics to veterans and other community members. A series of free hand-cycling clinics have run once each month during 2018 in Balboa Park. Hand-cycles are considered to be an excellent source of cardiovascular exercise for individuals with spinal cord injuries and other conditions affecting balance, as well as for individuals without disabilities. You can find more information about the clinics and about the Triumph Foundation HERE .
