With Jennifer Nutefall, University Librarian at Santa Clara University
Presented by the Oviatt Library and CSUN Community Engagement
Libraries have begun to more frequently partner with various entities on campus, including Information Technology, Undergraduate Research, and the Learning Resource Center. A new player in this game is Service Learning, which on many campuses is coordinated by the Office of Community Engagement. Jennifer Nutefall, University Librarian at Santa Clara University, is well-versed in how libraries can provide opportunities for students to get involved in Service Learning. Ms. Nutefall will be speaking on how the faculty and staff at the Oviatt Library and the Office of Community Engagement at CSUN can partner together to create collaborative opportunities for CSUN students who are interested in Service Learning.
About the Speaker
Jennifer Nutefall began her tenure as University Librarian at Santa Clara in 2012. She has attended the ACRL Institute for Information Literacy Immersion Program, the ACRL Harvard Leadership Institute, the Engagement Academy for University Leaders, and the UCLA Senior Fellows Program.
In 2018, Jennifer received the Ilene F. Rockman Instruction Publication of the Year Award for Service Learning, Information Literacy, and Libraries, hailed as a timely book that pushes the field in new directions, encouraging librarians to consider new and innovative methods of teaching information literacy concepts and skills
