On Monday, January 27, from 9:00AM-1:00PM: 5th graders from Riverside Drive Charter Elementary School will tour CSUN, finding resources for themselves, the community, and the future.
On Friday, January 24, from 8:30AM-1:00PM: Juniors at Northridge Academy High School will tour CSUN, and will be shown resources for themselves, for the community, and for the future. This tour will bring students to the University Library, the Food Garden, the Orange Grove, Botanic Garden, the Planetarium, and more!
On Wednesday, January 22, from 8:30AM-9:20AM: Northridge Academy High School is having an assembly on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. which will dicsuss Racial, Social, Climate, and Linguistic justice – this assembly will be led by CSUN Performance Ensemble, graduate students in Linguistics, as well as Drs. Jade Huell, Ana Sanchez-Muñoz, and Laura Ruth-Hirrell.
On Friday, January 17, 2025, from 10:00AM-1:00PM: LEAD California, in partnership with the CSUN Institute of Sustainability and the CSUN Office of Community Engagement, is hosting a Food Garden Cleanup. The Event will include learning about the life and work of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., learning about sustainability and food justice, as well as a spoken word performance in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. led by Dr. Cedric Hackett and his students.
