Urban Studies Alumnus Honored at 2016 Distinguished Alumni Awards

Urban Studies Alumnus, James Ring was honored at the 18th Annual Distinguished Alumni Awards ceremony held on April 16, 2016. This award recognizes Mr. Ring’s achievements and the esteem he has brought to the university through his work, service and dedication.

Ring ’70 (Psychology), ’72 (Urban Studies), has been one of the most successful urban developers in the greater Los Angeles area and a hero to many — including those in the Department of Urban Studies and Planning at CSUN where he created the James H. Ring Professorship in Urban Studies and Planning and the James H. Ring Urban Studies Scholarship.
