Dr. Dorothy Chin, a social justice dialog

Watch Dr. Dorothy Chin Speak on Race-Based Trauma and Post-Traumatic Growth: Implications for Education and Counseling.
Dr. Chin is a founding member of the UCLA Center for Culture, Trauma, and Mental Health Disparities. Over the past twenty-five years, Dr. Chin’s research has examined the effects of community and interpersonal trauma, including race-based trauma and discrimination, on psychological functioning among minoritized populations. Currently a Board Member of the Lotus Project of the Public Health Institute, which provides trauma-informed training and services to Asian American and Asian Immigrant populations.

In honor of National Women's Health Week, Northridge Hospital Medical Center would like to invite all CSUN employees along with friends and family to an exclusive mammogram event. Join us for light refreshments, health and wellness demonstrations, giveaways and more! Please call to schedule an appointment at (818) 700-5678. Please note that no prescriptions are needed for mammogram screenings.

Tea Haven Workshop 5/2/24 Sequoia Courtyard, 1:30 - 3:00 pm

Join the CSUN Marilyn Magaram Center for a Tea Haven Workshop on Thursday, May 2, 2024, from 1:30pm-3pm in Sequoia Hall Courtyard, focusing on promoting wellness through the art therapy technique of coloring, and a guided meditation. Students will learn the practice of helping diffuse thoughts by observing and accepting them without judgment. Their workshops are FREE and open to all CSUN students.
