Want to practice Mindfulness communally? Our group mindfulness practice sessions, led by trained facilitators, provide a communal space for CSUN students, faculty, staff, administrators, and community members to engage in meditation and mindfulness together. These sessions occur every Tuesday from 8:30 to 9:30 A.M. in Room 3 (FacDev Commons) on the Garden Level of the University Library, from September 3 to December 10, 2024. A thank you to FacDev for providing us with a space! A collective effort started by Drs. Dena Herman, Mirna Sawyer, and Nancy Miodrag
The MBSR class meets in-person for 2.5-hour weekly class sessions over 8 weeks. Home assignments and guided meditation audio files are all available online. Throughout the program you will be using the practices you will learn in the course to work with the challenges and demands of your everyday life. Future dates: Winter/Spring: Jan. 10-March 14, 2025 Spring/Summer: April 25-June 13, 2025 Summer/Fall: Aug. 15-Oct. 17, 2025
