Hi! My name is Emi Yamasaki. I am an Outreach Counselor focusing on outreach to the Asian Pacific Islander and Desi American (APIDA) student community. I received my bachelor’s degree in Psychological Science with a minor in Japanese Studies from the University of California, Irvine. I’m here to support and empower APIDA students in reaching their goals while showing them the opportunities available within higher education and at CSUN. I am passionate about creating accessibility to higher education and furthering inclusion and equity within our communities. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family and my community, listening to music, traveling, playing sports and brushing up on my Japanese.
