During her residency at Atelier Calder, Beatriz Cortez has imagined a speculative version of the Ilopango Volcano. The eruption of the Ilopango Volcano spread ashes or tierra blanca joven, all over the planet in the year 536. The particles of this sacred land carry spiritual meaning to people who also migrated (and continue to migrate) from the Central American region to other territories. Read more
