Emeritus Professor Robert Reid has passed away. Robert Reid started teaching here in 1970, coming to CSUN from the University of Pittsburgh. He was promoted to Associate Professor in 1977 and to Professor in 1982. He was granted sabbatical leaves in 1981 and 1992. In 1998, he began to participate in our Faculty Early Retirement Program, in 1999 he was granted Emeritus Status, and in 2002 he entered full retirement. Among the courses he taught here at CSUN were Critical Theory, Shakespeare, Children's Literature, and Creative Writing. During his career, he published poems in The Texas Quarterly, Colorado Quarterly, and American Poet. He also published a collection of poems, And Then There Was Now.
