Paycheck Calculator Instructions

The State Controller's Office paycheck calculator may assist you in anticipating your new net pay.

You may also use the tool to determine the effects of adjusting your exemptions or voluntary contributions on your net pay; however, we recommend consulting a tax professional before taking these actions.

  1. Before clicking on the link to the Paycheck calculator below, you will need to have a copy of your most recent paycheck stub or direct deposit advice available for reference.

  2. Note: The Payroll office does not have a copy of your pay warrant

  3. We recommend that you print the Pay Warrant Instructions for reference and print or have access to the Pay Warrant Legend

  4. When you open the State Controller's Paycheck Calculator, you may scroll down the spreadsheet to read the instructions. However, we have created these step-by-step instructions specifically for CSUN.

Note: You will be entering information within the boxed area in Column B, Rows 3-18.
