Professor Raucher will be discussing her research based on her interviews with Haredi (ultra-Orthodox Jewish) women in Israel about their reproductive experiences and her fieldwork in Jerusalem hospitals and clinics.

Michal Raucher earned a Ph.D. in Religious Studies from Northwestern University, Evanston, Ill.  She is Program Director, Center for Jewish Ethics, Jewish Theological Seminary.

This talk is organized by the Religious Studies Department and is funded by the CSUN Distinguished Visiting Lecture Program.
