Things to do in the San Fernando Valley, LA area, Oct. 3-10

Art Galleries at California State University Northridge – West Gallery: “iwitness: Narratives of Resistance,” a multimedia exhibit including portraits and oral history from survivors of the 1915-23 genocide of the Western Armenian population — organized by artists Ara Oshagan and Levon Parian, whose families are from Western Armenia. Gallery hours: 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday-Tuesday; noon-7 p.m. Wednesday-Thursday; by appointment Friday-Saturday; closed on Sunday and on campus holidays. Exhibit runs through Oct. 22. Use parking lot E6 (parking permit, $10.45, at the lot’s self-serve dispensers). CSUN Art Galleries are in the Art and Design Center on North University Drive (Plummer Street), between Etiwanda and Lindley avenues, Northridge.
