Long Beach State Women’s Soccer Falls to CSUN 1-0 in Upset

Long Beach State women's soccer suffered a disappointing setback against Cal State Northridge, losing 1-0 despite commanding the match statistically. An early goal from CSUN's Yoshi Rubalcava, capitalizing on a defensive mistake, proved decisive as LBSU managed to outshoot the Matadors 13-6 with no shots on target from CSUN afterward. Coach Mauricio Ingrassia emphasized the need for better ball control, acknowledging the team's struggle to recover after the early goal. This loss marks CSUN's first victory over LBSU since 2019, adding to LBSU's ongoing effort to boost their performance. LBSU captain Julia Moore expressed confidence in the team's resilience and camaraderie, insisting they will focus on their next challenge.
