Overdevest began his career as a P.E. teacher with the Hart District in 1996 and served various schools in the Santa Clarita Valley including Arroyo Seco and La Mesa junior high schools and Saugus and Castaic high schools. He has also served as a department chairperson, technology coordinator, staff development team member, ASB director, and athletic director. Overdevest has a Bachelor of Arts in Kinesiology Exercise Science and Physical Education from California State University Northridge, and a Master’s in Cross Cultural Teaching from National University.
