FAYETTEVILLE, Ark.—CSUN completed day one of the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field West First Rounds on Wednesday at John McDonnell Field. Trey Knight qualified for the NCAA Championships in the hammer throw while Matador sprinters James Crawford and Chase Mars qualified for both the 100m and 200m quarterfinals and Chris Pitts advanced to the 400m quarterfinals on Friday.
