The results of the Wall Street Journal/College Pulse 2024 Best Colleges in the United States rankings considered graduation rates and graduates’ salaries at 70-percent of a school’s total score, with learning environments counting for 20-percent and diversity ten-percent. The University of California-Berkeley and California State University-Northridge ranked second and third. BYU was ranked 20th in the nation among private universities.
